RNA: A Novel Approach

RNA molecules initiate a biological process which impacts the plant’s specific gene expression, thereby enabling the alteration and improvement of agronomically important plant characteristics.

For example, an increase in yield quantity and quality, improvement in plant health, and resistance to extreme environmental conditions.

By targeting the expression of naturally occurring plant genes, farmers can forego planting genetically modified crops which are subject to strict regulations and contractual obligations.

In addition, RNA molecules can be used as an efficient and specific active substance against pathogens by down regulating genes in the targeted pathogens.

The impact of RNA molecules in plant cells has been known and proven over the last few decades, however, until now it has not been practical for agricultural use.
